Tour Description
Þingvellir National Park & Öxarárfoss Waterfall – A UNESCO Site Where Two Continents Meet
Þingvellir (or Thingvellir) National Park, one of the tour’s highlights, is our first stop. On the way there, we take many breaks to give you the greatest views of Þingvallavatn, Iceland’s biggest natural lake. Thingvellir is well-known for hosting the Alþing, Iceland’s parliament, which met here from the eleventh through the seventeenth century. Thingvellir National Park is situated in a rift valley created by the collision of the European and North American continents, the adrenaline rush of having one foot in Europe and the other in America is accessible here.
Geysir – See Strokkur Erupt Up to 30 Meters High
Next, we head to the Geysir geothermal area where Strokkur erupts every 10 minutes, flinging a column of water into the air to a height of 20 to 30 meters, one of Iceland’s most popular tourist attractions.
Gullfoss Waterfall – Experience the Power of Iceland’s Iconic Golden Waterfall
Gullfoss, often known as the Golden Waterfall, is a stunning waterfall found in a picturesque canyon on the Hvítá River.
Kerið Crater – Discover a Volcanic Crater with a Turquoise Lake
We will stop at Kerið Crater, a stunning volcanic lake located in a beautiful red rock crater.
Icelandic Horses – Meet the Charming and Unique Local Breed
Take a break to meet the famous Icelandic horses, a unique and friendly breed that has been part of Icelandic culture for over a thousand years.
Efstidalur Farm – Enjoy Fresh, Organic Meals at a Cozy Farm Restaurant
We stop at the Efstidalur Organic Farm Restaurant, where you can enjoy fresh, delicious meals made with local ingredients, and of course, their famous homemade ice cream.
Secret Lagoon – Relax in Iceland’s Oldest Geothermal Pool
All year round, we stop at the Secret Lagoon in Fluðir, a small hamlet with one of Iceland’s oldest natural swimming pools. Whether you’re a tourist or an Icelander, this natural geothermal pool is a great way to end your luxury tour of the Golden Circle.
Winter Magic: Chase the Northern Lights on the Way Back to Reykjavik
WINTER COMPLIMENTARY EXTRAS – an additional winter attraction of the trip: if the weather permits, the Northern Lights may be visible on the way back to Reykjavik. The price of the regular trip includes a bonus, free aurora hunt on the return journey.
Summer Adventure: Drive Through the Scenic Nesjavellir Route
