Our Private Luxury Snæfellsnes Peninsula Jeep Tour takes you on a journey through Snæfellsnes, a fascinating peninsula in West Iceland just a couple of hours’ drive from Reykjavik that awes visitors with its diverse landscapes, which include moss-covered lava fields, beautiful cliffs, and even a world-famous glacier.
Start Your Journey with a Scenic Drive
The journey begins with a pick-up from your Reykjavik hotel, after which we travel north through the underwater tunnel that connects Reykjavik and Akranes.
Stop at Borgarnes for a Taste of Local Delights
After a brief stop in the picturesque village of Borgarnes where you can pick up some food and snacks for the trip from a local bakery, we make our way to Buðir’s famous black church, a magnificent structure that stands alone amid an old lava field.
Marvel at Bjarnarfoss Waterfall
On the way, you will have a nice view of Bjarnarfoss, a beautiful waterfall falling behind a farmhouse.
Explore Arnarstapi and Snæfellsjökull

- Pick-up/drop-off from your accommodation in Reykjavik, please confirm at time of booking.
- Pick-up and drop-off are possible from Keflavik Airport or outside Reykjavik metropolitan area, with an additional charge. Please let us know when booking.
- The weather in Iceland can be quite unpredictable. Occasionally, the tour itinerary might be altered if weather and road conditions are unfavorable.
- For groups of 1-4 people, we typically travel by jeep. If you prefer a van, please send a request.
